Description
Minutes of a board meeting held on 6th March 1902 in which the following was discussed: two purchases made by the Director were approved. A list of gifts sent to the Gallery is also included. The Director read a letter from the Lord Lieutenant's office regarding the search for a suitable building for the extension of The National Gallery and the possibility of an exhibit with the Royal Hibernian Academy. The Director was also instructed to write to the Treasury asking that the maximum salary for the Registrar be raised from £200 to £250. The Treasury had sanctioned an increase in the estimate for 1902-1903 to provide for a larger staff and other consequences of the extension of the Gallery.
