Description
Minutes of a board meeting held on 15th March 1900 in which the following was discussed: a list of approved purchases and their prices. The Director was again nominated to represent the Gallery as a Judge in the Taylor Scholarship competition. The board agreed that on occasion of Her Majesty's visit to Dublin, the Gallery should be closed and a holiday given to all staff. The Director received a letter from the Countess of Milltown informing him that she had purchased a picture by Sir Joshua Reynolds that was to be included in her donation. The Director read his annual report for 1899, which was unanimously accepted.
