Description
Minutes of a board meeting held on 29th July 1897 in which the following was discussed: Lieutenant Colonel Hopton Scott [NGI board 1897 to 1898], Mr Charles M. Townsend [[NGI board 1897 to 1900] and Mr Jonathon Hogg [NGI board 1897 to 1928] were appointed Guardians and Governors for a term of five years. The board received a letter from the Royal Dublin Society informing them they had elected a new President, and therefore there would be another new member on the board of the Gallery. The Director submitted a list of purchases to the board which were all unanimously approved. The Director was once again appointed Judge on behalf of the Gallery for the Taylor Scholarship and Prizes competition.
