Description
Minutes of a board meeting held on 5th November 1896 in which the following was discussed: a list of paintings, drawings and engravings with their prices that were approved for purchase by the board. The Director submitted the estimate for the financial year 1897-1898 which amounted to a total of £2445.12.0 which was approved by the board and submitted to the Treasury. The board noted the necessity of having a porter in the Gallery staff to attend to the heating of the building, and the Director was instructed to apply to the Treasury to obtain the allowance for this.
