Description
Minutes of board meeting held on 29th November 1883 in which the following was discussed: discussion on loans of paintings and insurance costs. Noted that Charles Gilligan had been disqualified from completing the Civil Service exam due to his age. He was then excluded from appointment to the board. A portrait of Julia Kavanagh by Henri Chanet [NGI 312] was submitted by Mrs M Kavanagh and accepted by the board. A portrait of Archbishop Troy by Thompson [NGI 229] was offered by Canon Lee and accepted.
