Minutes of board meeting held on 1st December 1881 in which the following was discussed: it was agreed to comply with the request of the Royal Academy to borrow two paintings - "The Fete in the Piazza Navona" by Panini ["Preparations to Celebrate the Birth of the Dauphin of France in the Piazza Navona", NGI 95] and "The Village School" by Jan Steen [NGI 226]. Insurance will be £1000. |
