Description
Minutes of a board meeting held on 6th November 1879 in which the following was discussed: the board received a formal letter from Sir Richard Wallace offering the Gallery a picture by Daniel Maclise, which was accepted by the board [NGI 205]. There is also a list of purchases approved by the board. The Director received a donation of £100 from Dr Michael Barry of Brighton. The Director read his report for the year 1878 to the board.
