Description
Minutes of a board meeting held on 10th April 1879 in which the following was discussed: a donation from Sir Richard Wallace of a painting by Salvatore Rosa ["Portrait of a Man", Unknown Artist, Italy, 17th century, Italian [NGI 221]], and the donation from Mrs W. Callow of a watercolour painting by her late husband [NGI 2035]. The board approved of the purchase of a painting by J.A. O'Connor [NGI 18], and the purchase of a folio of photographs from the drawings of the Old Masters in the collection of Her Majesty, The Queen.
