Description
Minutes of a board meeting held on 29th August 1878 in which the following was discussed: correspondence between the board and the audit office. There is a list of artwork approved for purchase by the board. It also discusses the lighting of the Gallery using gas. The Director also announces two vacancies on the board due to the deaths of Dr Stokes and Viscount Southwell.
