Description
Minutes of board meeting held on 28th January 1864 in which the following was discussed: the wording of signage to appear at the front of the Gallery was proposed. It includes opening hours (including Sunday's) and conditions of entry (including Friday's and Saturday's reserved for artists and students). A letter was read from the Treasury stating the pay of £300 'must be considered sufficient' for pay of the Director and any Clerk or other appointment.
