Description
Minutes of board meeting held on 14th January 1864 in which the following was discussed: acknowledged the transfer of £608.1.2 to the Gallery from the Treasury for 'Painting and furnishing'. Discussion of the inauguration of the Dargan Statue. The Lord Lieutenant agrees the 30th January for the inauguration of the Gallery. A draft of the address for the occasion of the inauguration was agreed. Signed on behalf of the Governors and Guardians. Some additions to the byelaws adopted including that the Gallery be open from 'two o clock in the afternoon for all Sunday's of the year'. An detailed estimate of £266 for costs for 1865 was submitted.
