Description
Minutes of a board meeting held on 13th May 1875 in which the following was discussed: further updates on the future second examination for J. Burton. Three small pictures purchased were approved by the board. A picture of William III and his attendants was also approved for purchase [NGI 147]. "Portrait of Pope Pius VI, Giovanni Angelo Braschi" by Pompeo Batoni [NGI 109] was offered as a gift to the Gallery and was accepted.
