Description
Minutes of board meeting held on 12th September 1859 in which the following was discussed: it was resolved that the Royal Irish Art Union would hand over the frames and residue of its property to the National Gallery. A Mr Russell donated 'the Picture by Ribera' and this was accepted. There was a letter read about obtaining a copy of the Madonna of San Sisto from MR Jameson. A list of 10 donors of works of art to the value of £20 was added to the 'constituency'.
