Description
Minutes of board meeting held on 3rd November 1856 in which the following was discussed: a letter from the Duke of Devonshire was read and his donation of £50 noted. Discussion about the purchase of paintings from Signor Aducci. Entire amount spent £3333. There is an unnumbered list of paintings and artists with some dimensions included. The purchase was sanctioned.
