Description
Minutes of board meeting held on 21st August 1856 in which the following was discussed: a letter from The Dargan Institute was read. It was recommended a tablet with an inscription be placed outside the building in a suitable place. The text of the proposed inscription is outlined. The board agreed to inform the Dargan Institute that 'this body finally concur'. A letter was read from Mr Pigot entirely disapproving of Mr Lanyon's building plan. It was agrees to seek 'matured' plans from Mr Lanyon.
