Description
Minutes of board meeting held on 2nd June 1856 in which the following was discussed: the content of a transcribed letter from the Dargan Institute was read to the Governors and Guardians. The letter outlined the conditions under which the agreed £5000 would be handed over to the Building Trustees. The reading of further extracts of correspondence from the Dargan Institute continued. In response to this content it was agreed that information should be 'transcribed to the Committee of the Irish Institution'. First mention of the term 'The Dargan Institute'.
