Description
Handwritten letter with envelope from Hugh Lane to Sarah Cecilia Harrison of 33 Harcourt St, Dublin, writing of D.S. MacColl who praised their selection of Forbes collection as opposed to the Grafton Gallery's selection. Lane writes that is would be 'splendid' if they had a loan of the 150 pictures and that he hopes that Mr Hind will write an article on their gallery also. Paintings Lanes mentions are "L'amour Vainqueur" by [Jean-Francois] Millet and "The Arched Bridge".
