"A word in his ear", Ballyscunnion
Description
Depicts a man on the street holding a sign who accidentally hits another man on the head with it. The sign reads “Repairer”, which relates to the shopfront in the background “P. Murphy Boot and Shoe”. The shoe cobbler is depicted in the shop window laughing. Various tools are at the feet of the man holding the sign, including a hamper, saw, nails and a screwdriver.
