Letter from Roderic O’Conor to Renée Honta
Download: view IIIF manifest
Description
Handwritten letter in French in which O’Conor thanks Honta for her letter and regrets that she is ‘disillusioned’, but writes that she will adapt quickly to the countryside after the studio. He has had difficulties with his model and is trying to finish the painting without her. His friends Hughes, Snyder and [Robert Root] are about the only people he sees. He like the Billettes in the exhibition at the Palais de Bois, the rest being ‘terrible’.
