Description
Files relating to Sir Denis Mahon’s research on the collection of Guercino drawings held by the British Royal Family at Windsor Castle. Mahon’s research took place over a number of years, and culminated in the publication of the monograph, The Drawings of Guercino in the Collection of her Majesty the Queen at Windsor Castle, co-authored by Denis Mahon and Nicholas Turner (Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 1989). Contains index card files, a photographic reference file, and a correspondence file.
